OU President’s newest gift doubles her established scholarship program

十大菠菜台子 has received additional gift funding of $1.3300万来自大学 奥拉·赫希·佩斯科维茨总统 to support the significant expansion of the 佩斯科维茨总统奖学金hip program that offers direct scholarship support to academically exceptional high school graduates.  

This generous gift will now allow for eight new awardees 每年, 是以往年度奖项数量的两倍. The gift will also create an endowment for scholarships in perpetuity. Scholarship applications are currently open to Platinum Presidential Scholar awardees for the fall.

The 佩斯科维茨总统奖学金 are supported by a Presidential Scholar Medallion Program that provides personalized, strategic planning throughout a scholar's entire academic journey in the 荣誉学院 在十大菠菜台子. This highly individualized program will continue to be administered by 荣誉学院 Dean Graeme Harper, with the goal of fostering scholarly work and building leadership skills for the next generation of community, 公民, 健康, 科学, 艺术, 沟通和商业领袖.

Harper added that 荣誉学院 Counselor Jenna Przeslawski will work with the 佩斯科维茨总统奖学金 to assist in developing specialized workshops, special training programs and other unique facets of the curriculum to meet the individual goals of each scholar. She will also coordinate and implement programs that the scholars create to enhance their experiential learning activities and enhance their academic transcripts.

Mike Westfall说, 负责大学发展的副校长, Pescovitz’s latest donation brings her cumulative lifetime philanthropic support to the university to $3.16 million in gifts and commitments during her tenure as president. Those gifts have benefitted more than 50 different areas across the university.
