450 Licensing Of University Name, 标志, and Symbols

理由是:  To promote and protect 大学’s Name and Marks, to encourage OU merchandise sales on and off campus.

政策:  任何人, 业务, 商人, vendor or other entity wishing to use the 十大菠菜台子名称, 标志, Marks (including athletics and non-athletics marks) or Other Symbols for Commercial or Non-Commercial purposes (including the production of OU items for University promotional purposes), must first obtain approval from 大学 Communications and Marketing department directly and/or through a procedure that requires use of a 许可的制造商.

This policy also prohibits the display of the 十大菠菜台子名称, 标志, Marks or Other Symbols on Internet Web sites by way of software agreements, hosted solutions and application service providers without obtaining a license or prior authorization by the VP of University Communications and Marketing department.  The 或者社区 must not agree to such usage rights (see related OU美联社&P #870 Software Regulations).

SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY: This policy applies to any person, 业务, 商人, vendor or other entity wishing to use the 十大菠菜台子名称, 标志, Marks or Other Symbols for Commercial or Non-Commercial purposes.

Use of 大学’s Name or Other Marks for Commercial purposes without obtaining a license or prior written authorization by the VP of University Communications and Marketing department constitutes a trademark infringement, which is prohibited by state and federal law.

定义:

十大菠菜台子名称 means "十大菠菜台子," “OU,“奥克兰,“金灰熊队。,”“灰熊,” or the names of different 部门, 事件, 体育或设施, 或与…有关, 大学.

标志, Marks or Other Symbols 是设计吗?, 商标, 服务商标, 标志图形, and/or symbols that have come to be associated with 大学 such as, 但不限于, 帆, the seal and the Grizzlies marks.

商业用途 means the use of the 服务商标, 商标 or logos on or in products that will be offered for sale or resale.

非商业用途 means the use of the 服务商标, 商标 or logos on or in products that will be given away by the 或者社区 as University or departmental promotional items.

或者社区 includes all 十大菠菜台子 faculty, 工作人员, 以及公认的俱乐部, 部门, corporate partners and organizations.

许可的制造商 是一个人, corporation or other entity that is approved to produce merchandise bearing OU Service Marks, 商标, 标志或名称.

程序:  Members of the 或者社区 who wish to order OU-Trademarked items for sale or promotional purposes should visit www.奥克兰.edu/licensing to view an up-to-date list of approved vendors from which to choose. Persons and 部门 ordering items for resale will be charged a royalty fee. Student organizations must work through their faculty adviser to develop and order OU merchandise.

Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) manages processes with vendors and retail outlets. All designs utilizing University Names and Marks are submitted electronically to CLC's Brand Manager 360 platform. 

CLC will forward questions regarding University Name, 标志 or Symbols to 大学 Communications and Marketing department.
