十大菠菜台子's week-long faculty-led program at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The program introduces students to the world of global cinema 和 provides them with a unique, first-h和 opportunity to observe the workings of the contemporary media 和 entertainment industries. Spend a week at North America's preeminent international film festival, 参加检查, 业板, 和 master class workshops with media professionals.

Students will travel as a group by bus to 多伦多，安大略省，加拿大 a center for Canadian 和 international film, 电视, 和 media industries 和 the location for North American’s most prestigious film festival. 学生们 introduced to contemporary trends in global cinema, foster an underst和ing of the business operations 和 cultural activities of TIFF 和 explore pathways towards successful creative careers in the media industries.

Students spend the first day in Toronto getting oriented to the area 和 festival locations, pick up film badges 和 tour the local neighborhood. 在接下来的日子里, students will attend Industry Conference panels, festival screenings 和 networking events.

Following the program, students return to Michigan from Toronto.

课程: FLM 3910: Toronto International Film Festival (4 credits). Students enroll in this course taught in the Fall semester.

The course is taught by OU faculty 和 consists study abroad trip to Toronto 和 lectures.

As part of the study abroad students will complete festival-based assignments with the opportunity to contextualize 和 reflect upon their experiences during 和 after the trip festival.

After the first day or two of the festival, students will be encouraged to structure their own festival experience based on their interests as well as course assignments 和 activities.

In addition to instruction time during the TIFF trip, the course will have a few in-person meetings throughout the semester during the designated class meeting for lecture 和 discussion.

Students will stay in the heart of Toronto at the HI-Toronto Hostel in dormitory-style rooms. Many of the festival’s activities, 在贝尔灯箱举行, are only a five-minute walk from the hostel. The hostel is close to shopping, mass transportation 和 eateries.

Some meals are included in the program fee. 学生可以探索 array of nearby restaurants, cafes 和 pubs 不含餐.
